Diamondback is Kings Island's newest coaster, set to debut in April 2009. The ride reaches a height of 230 feet and a top speed of 80mph on its 5282 foot long track. The million dollar Bolliger & Mabillard hyper coaster is Kings Island's largest single investment since its opening in 1972. Diamondback utilizes Bolliger & Mabillard's new hyper train style, currently in use on only one other coaster (Behemoth at Canada's Wonderland) and will be the first hyper coaster to feature a splashdown.
